Pakistan Interior Minister Accuses India’s RAW of Suicide Blast in Balochistan

Pakistan Interior Minister Accuses India’s RAW of Suicide Blast in Balochistan

Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Sarfaraz Bugti, has accused India’s Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) intelligence agency of being behind a suicide blast in Balochistan that claimed the lives of 60 people. Pakistani officials have long alleged that India sponsors violent groups in Pakistan, although India has consistently denied these claims.

The attack targeted people preparing for a procession related to Eid Miladun Nabi near a mosque in the Mastung district of Balochistan. While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) denied involvement.

Pakistan has experienced an increase in terrorist activities in recent months, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, following the TTP’s cessation of its ceasefire with the government in November of the previous year.

Shortly after the blast in Balochistan, a second attack occurred at a mosque in Hangu city, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The incidents have raised concerns about security and counter-terrorism efforts in Pakistan.
