DC Takes the Lead in Road Safety Campaign in Doda
In line with the National Road Safety Month, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in Doda has initiated an enforcement and counseling drive to impart knowledge about traffic rules to various stakeholders. The comprehensive program encompasses a range of activities, including road safety seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns strategically conducted in schools, colleges, and public spaces.
Addressing the campaign on Paryote Road, ARTO Rajesh Gupta underscored the significance of the National Road Safety Month. During the event, drivers were educated on road safety norms, and a collective pledge towards road safety was taken. The primary focus of the initiative is to instill a culture of responsible driving and pedestrian safety, with the overarching goal of reducing road accidents and preserving lives.
The campaign also featured officials emphasizing the critical need to raise awareness and educate the public about the inherent dangers of reckless driving. The objective is to cultivate a safer environment for all road users in Doda, with the hope that increased awareness will lead to a decline in the number of road accidents.
The launch of this initiative is particularly timely as road accidents have been on the rise, necessitating a concerted effort to address the issue and elevate road safety as a shared community concern.
Under the guidance of DC Harvinder Singh and the supervision of ARTO, the campaign places a strong emphasis on engaging with vehicle operators and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations. The department aims to play a pivotal role in significantly reducing road accidents, thereby safeguarding the well-being of all road users in the region. Through collaborative efforts and sustained awareness programs, the goal is to witness a substantial decrease in road accidents and fatalities in Doda.
