Alliance Air Increases Flights to Lakshadweep Amid Rising Demand
In response to a surge in passenger demand to visit Lakshadweep, Alliance Air, the sole airline operating to the island, has initiated additional flights on the Kochi-Agatti-Kochi route.
The airline, running 70-seater aircraft to the island, has been operating at full capacity, with tickets sold out until March.
The decision to add extra flights on Sundays and Wednesdays is aimed at accommodating the growing interest in travel to Lakshadweep.
The move comes amid the India-Maldives row, and Lakshadweep gained attention after Prime Minister Modi’s visit, emphasizing the potential for beach tourism in the Union Territory.
