Thai National Arrested at Mumbai Airport for Cocaine Trafficking
In a significant operation led by the Directorate of Revenue (DRI), a 21-year-old Thai national was apprehended at Mumbai Airport on charges of cocaine trafficking.
Acting on reliable information, the DRI detained the woman upon her arrival from Addis Ababa.
While the initial examination yielded no suspicious findings, a closer inspection of her trolley bag revealed multiple packets containing a white powder-like substance confirmed to be cocaine.
The estimated international market value of the seized cocaine is a staggering 40 crores.
The arrested woman has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further details on the case are awaited.
