In October of the previous year, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro in China, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and featuring the innovative HyperOS interface. Now, speculation is rife that the tech giant is gearing up to expand this lineup with the introduction of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Recently, hands-on images of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra surfaced online, offering enthusiasts a detailed look at the phone’s design. Notably, the device showcases a quad-camera setup, prominently featuring a periscope lens on the lower right side. Anticipation surrounds the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s expected utilization of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The alleged prototype of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was shared on Coolapk, although the post has since been deleted. The leaked images, sourced via SlashLeaks, depict the handset within a protective case that covers the camera array. A discernible camera bump is evident on the rear, housing a periscope lens in the lower right corner. The camera island appears slightly larger than that of its predecessor, and a white label on the back reveals intriguing details. The ‘N1’ on the label hints at Leica-branded cameras, ‘EU’ suggests a European variant, and ‘P2’ implies that the unit may be a prototype designated for internal testing by engineers. Interestingly, the photos also showcase the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro.

Scheduled for an official unveiling in March, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is anticipated to boast a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is set to feature four 50-megapixel cameras, with a primary sensor identified as the Sony LYT900, equipped with an f/1.63 aperture. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the phone is expected to include slightly curved screens and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. Rumors also circulate regarding a substantial 5,180mAh battery, complemented by 90W wired charging support and 50W wireless charging support.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is poised to join the ranks of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, both unveiled in China in October. These models share the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and utilize Xiaomi’s HyperOS interface. Notably, they boast LTPO OLED displays with up to 2K resolution and feature a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup.

In related news, Xiaomi has expanded its smartphone offerings with the launch of the Redmi Note 13 5G series in India. These devices feature 6.67-inch AMOLED screens, catering to a diverse range of consumer preferences. As the smartphone landscape evolves, tech enthusiasts eagerly await further developments in the ever-expanding Xiaomi lineup.
