Rajouri Man Found Dead in Jhelum River: Drowning Suspected
A Rajouri man’s lifeless body was discovered in the Gadhanjipora region of Bijbehara, situated in the southern part of Anantnag in Kashmir, according to officials on Saturday.
Authorities reported that the deceased, identified as 24-year-old Rumi Sharma, the son of Chaman Lal, was recovered from the Jhelum River by local residents and the police. The preliminary cause of death appears to be drowning, and further details will be ascertained following a thorough medical examination,” the official stated.
The official also mentioned that the body, which was found in a decomposed state, has been transported to SDH Bijbehara for the necessary medico-legal procedures.
