Rajouri Security Forces Retrieve IEDs and Grenades in Rajouri
In the Thanamandi region of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, security forces successfully retrieved a cache of weapons and explosives, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and grenades.
A collaborative effort between the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army’s 48 Rashtriya Rifles led to the discovery of these arms and ammunition during a meticulously conducted search operation, as reported by police officials on Friday.

The recovered items from the Dara Peer Makal area included four remote IEDs (improvised explosive devices), six Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) grenades, five detonators, four fuses, two small box packages, and various other undisclosed items.
In response to this significant find, authorities have promptly registered a case, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter.
The recovery of such weaponry underscores the ongoing challenges and security concerns faced by the region, emphasizing the importance of vigilant and collaborative efforts to ensure the safety and stability of the area.
