Rajkaran Baraua, a 56-year-old security guard, has achieved his dream of earning an MSc in mathematics after 25 years of perseverance. Despite facing 23 failures along the way, Rajkaran never gave up on his passion for mathematics.

While working as a security guard for a monthly income of Rs 5,000, Rajkaran also takes on additional roles to secure food, shelter, and an extra Rs 1,500 per month. He revealed that he spent approximately Rs 2 lakh on books, exam fees, and related expenses during his long journey to obtain his MSc in mathematics.

“I can barely make a living, but over the last 25 years, all I ever wanted was to pass this examination and be called a postgraduate in mathematics,” Rajkaran said with pride.
