On Tuesday, November 7, a seismic event measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Kishtwar, located in the Jammu and Kashmir region of India. The earthquake, as reported by the National Center for Seismology (NCS), took place at 6:52 PM local time.
According to the NCS, the earthquake’s epicenter was situated 215 kilometers north of Ayodhya and reached a depth of 10 kilometers. The official statement from NCS provided additional information:
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.5, Occurred on November 7, 18:52:12 IST, with coordinates Lat: 33.38 N & Long: 76.59 E, at a depth of 10 kilometers, in the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir.
