Jammu and Kashmir Transfer and posting of officials
Vidhi Kumar Birdi, an Indian Police Service officer from the AGMUT cadre of the 2003 batch, has assumed the role of Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Kashmir region, taking over from Vijay Kumar, also an IPS officer. Furthermore, Vidhi Kumar Birdi will concurrently serve as the IGP for Armed Kashmir, until instructed otherwise.
Vijay Kumar, an IPS officer from the AGMUT cadre of the 1997 batch, who previously held the position of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Kashmir, has now been transferred and appointed as the ADGP for Law and Order in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
