BREAKING: No Nuclear Material Will Leave Iran, Iranian security chief Mohsen Rezaei Tells Pakistani defence chief Asim Munir

TEHRAN, October 21, 2026 [VoM News]: Iran has rejected a proposal to transfer its enriched uranium to a third country, with senior Iranian security official Mohsen Rezaei telling Pakistan’s defence chief Asim Munir that Tehran would not allow its nuclear material to leave the country.

Pakistan reportedly proposed the transfer as part of its renewed efforts to mediate an end to the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States.

“Not even a tiny bit of enriched nuclear material will leave Iran,” Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, told Munir during his visit to Tehran.

Rezaei described the nuclear material as a national asset intended for domestic use and said negotiations with Washington would not resume unless the United States first took steps to restore trust and meet Iran’s conditions.

President Masoud Pezeshkian also rejected negotiations under what he described as US threats, calling for sanctions and threats against Tehran to be removed before dialogue could resume.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf similarly said Washington would have to fulfil Tehran’s stated conditions to rebuild trust.

Pakistan has been seeking to mediate between Washington and Tehran, but previous efforts have failed to produce a lasting settlement.

Iran has maintained that its nuclear programme is peaceful and denies Western accusations that it is seeking to develop nuclear weapons.
