Senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Ali Fadavi US Forces Have Withdrawn Over 1,000 Km From Iran’s Borders
TEHRAN, October 5, 2026 [VoM News]: Information available with VoM News reveals that Senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Ali Fadavi said that US military forces are more than 1,000 kilometers away from Iran’s borders due to Tehran’s military pressure. Fadavi said that ‘The Americans fled and moved more than 1,000 kilometers away from our borders.'”.
According to Fadavi there are no ships from the United States Navy at this time on any part of these waters including Persian Gulf, Straits of Hormuz, Gulf of Oman or Northern Indian Ocean. Also he said that American ships are very easy targets for Iranians’ attackers, as per VoM source. Claims cannot be checked on their own. The recent US military movement complicates Fadavi’s claim to be withdrawing from that area. There are more troops being sent from America to the region of Middle Eastern countries like USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group due to ongoing conflicts between them and Iran.
At this time, US Central Command is still enforcing an embargo on ships going into/out of Iranic ports.
By the end of September, CENTCOM stated that there were 125 commercial ships under its control after it was reinstated on July 1st.
The tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz are still very high as Iran continues to restrict access to this important maritime route; there has been an increase in attacks against merchant ships over the past few days.
