3,323 Indian Nationals Deported From Canada

New Delhi, Aug. 9 [VoM News]: During the first six months of 2026, nearly 3,323 Indian nationals were deported from Canada, Press Trust of India reported.

As per the official data released by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), the figure is nearly 88 percent of the 3,779 Indian nationals deported throughout 2025, which was the highest annual total in the past six years.

As authorities in Canada have tightened their immigration policies, the number of deported Indian nationals exceeded that of Mexican nationals, who accounted for 1,573 deportations.

Non-compliance with immigration regulations, visa overstays, immigration fraud, and rejected asylum or refugee claims are said to be the main reasons for the deportation of Indian nationals from Canada.
