Controversy Deepens After Police Badges, Name Plates Found Missing at Jantar Mantar Protest

VoM News Desk, July 21, 2026: A controversy has gained momentum after the police, Rapid Action Force alongwith some civil dress people posing as officials lathi charged on the protesting students.

Social media is flooded with such videos where protesting citizens are questioning the civil dress people holding sticks, some with helmets on their heads, seeming to hide their identity.

The video attached, could be seen as a protesting student asked a Rapid Action Force person, “Where are Your Badges, Name Plates.”

Similarly, there are the number of videos where it could be seen protesters questioning the civil dress people holding lathis in their hands and beating the students.

Where as, students are calling them as, “Gundas of party, paid agents and filthy terms.”

Meanwhile, a video of an interviewer with an RAF officer has also gone viral on social media in which, “She responded
that due to extreme heat, the cops removed their nameplates, which became a meme of the day, as students say, why not clothes…….”

More Videos went viral on social media and also gained political momentum. Politicians are also questioning the agencies, and asked Delhi Police for issuing clarity
