61 Educational Institutions in Baramulla to Remain Closed Until October 2 Amid JK Polls
Baramulla (KNO): Authorities in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district here have ordered temporary closure of multiple schools and educational institutions, which have been designated as camping sites for security personnel, including members of CAPF, JKAP, and IRP forces.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the closure, effective from September 26 to October 02, is aimed at facilitating secure accommodation for the deployed security forces.
“Offline academic activities will be suspended during this period, though skeleton staff shall be present, while institutions are encouraged to continue classes online or conduct additional classes to compensate for the disruption,” it states.
The institutions identified as camping sites for CAPF/SAP are GDC Tangmarg, Pattan, Uri, Boniyar, Kreeri, SSM college Parihaspora, ITI Kralhar, Polytechnic college Kanispora, Neitherfield School, MET Sopore and SRM Welkin among others—(KNO)
