
5 doctors suspended in GMC Rajouri, after the death of a pregnant woman
Five doctors have been placed under suspension, and an explanation has been sought from eight health officials, and two doctors in Government Medical College & Associated Hospital Rajouri.
The hospital administration has taken the disciplinary action after the death of a pregnant woman on Tuesday, raising concerns on the healthcare system and alleged medical negligence.
The suspended officials have been attached to the office of the medical superintendent, Govt Medical College & Associated Hospital, Rajouri, till the pending in-depth inquiry.
As per health officials, the deceased identified as Razim Beegum W/o Mohd Rafiq, R/o Badhaal, koteranka, Rajouri having a pregnancy of five and a half months, who was admitted to the hospital with complications, was earlier referred from Kandi hospital.

The concerns have been raised regarding the alleged medical negligence of officials.
Dr. Veenu Bharti, Dr. Neetu, Dr. Shakir Ahmed Parray, Dr. Shafqat Ulla, and Dr. Anif Saleem Rather have been suspended, as they were on night duty in the emergency ward when the woman was undergoing treatment.

Whereas, Dr. Devinder Kumar, Dr. Barinder Kumar, along with eight staff members, identified as Nawaz Ali, Qamran Tariq Dar, Tahir Abbas, Jagdev Raj, Shanaz Akhtar, Tazeem Akhtar, Rajni Kohli, and Prableen Kour, have been asked to give the explanation of what duties they performed to the Principal of GMC & AH Rajouri.
It has also been asked whether they informed the higher-ups regarding the deterioration of the admitted patient. Furthermore, they have been asked to submit their hourly round report. All needs to be submitted within 24 hours to Principal,.GMC & AH Rajouri.
The hospital administration has initiated a thorough investigation into this matter and has assured us of appropriate action based on the findings.
