A tragic incident occurred in the Lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon, resulting in the unfortunate demise of a 19-year-old boy.
According to reports, the young individual identified as Showkat Ahmad, the son of Mushtaq Ahmad Najar, met with a fatal accident while working with a haystack in his hometown of Kawari in Khurhama Lolab. Showkat lost his balance and fell from the haystack to the ground.

Prompt emergency response followed as the teenager was swiftly evacuated from the scene and transported to a nearby hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently referred to SDH Kupwara for further medical attention. Regrettably, despite the best efforts of the medical team, Showkat Ahmad succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the SDH Kupwara.A police official, when contacted, also confirmed the tragic incident involving the teenager.
