Kargil, July 29: A tragic incident unfolded in the Pandrass area of Drass, Kargil district on Monday, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old boy. Ahmad Raza, a resident of Rajouri and son of Farooq Ahmad, was grazing cattle near Targali, about 2.5 kilometers from Pandrass.

The boy, who belonged to a nomadic family temporarily staying in the region, encountered an old unexploded shell. He picked up the shell, which detonated, killing him instantly.
