AYODHYA, July 4 [VoM News]: In connection with the Ram Mandir donation theft, investigators found a fresh trail of evidence of a 15 lakh plus banking transactions belonging to one of the accused, Avinash Shukla. The probe revealed that Shukla not only made various money transfers to different individuals, but also cash transactions. Cops are investigating if the cash used for these transactions was part of the temple donations that were allegedly pilfered.

An investigation into the incident has also revealed that Shukla apparently gifted cash worth 2 lakh to a female acquaintance and also bought her a costly mobile phone.

Police are attempting to establish whether Shukla made these purchases with stolen cash or not. Police said Shukla’s brother, Abhishek, once saw him walking out from his workplace carrying cash and go to a yoga center to transfer money there. On being asked about it Shukla failed to answer and in the turn of the investigation Abhishek stated that one of the accused Anukalp told him that this money came from devotees as donations or donations and urged him not to raise this matter. Investigators are attempting to verify this aspect of the investigation.
