During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the ‘Holistic Agriculture Development Programme,’ a monumental Rs 5,000 crore initiative aimed at boosting the agri-economy in Jammu and Kashmir. This program is expected to equip around 2.5 lakh farmers with skill development through the dedicated Daksh Kisan portal.

Under the Swadesh Darshan and PRASHAD schemes, Prime Minister Modi will launch projects worth over Rs 1,400 crore. These include the ‘Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine’ in Srinagar and various tourism facilities across different states. The projects span a wide range of pilgrimage and tourist sites, demonstrating a commitment to promoting diverse destinations across the country.
As part of the ‘Chalo India Global Diaspora Campaign,’ the prime minister aims to mobilize the Indian diaspora as ambassadors to promote tourism to India. The campaign, inspired by a call to action, encourages overseas Indians to inspire at least five non-Indian friends to explore the rich cultural tapestry and diverse attractions that India has to offer.
In a groundbreaking move, Prime Minister Modi will also launch the ‘Dekho Apna Desh People’s Choice 2024.’ This nationwide initiative seeks to identify the preferences of citizens across various tourism categories, providing insights into the nation’s pulse regarding tourist attractions.
These initiatives collectively underscore the government’s commitment to agricultural development, tourism promotion, and engaging the Indian diaspora in amplifying India’s appeal on the global stage.
