NHAI Closes Thandikhui Toll Plaza in Samba district, Eases Commute in Jammu and Kashmir

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has closed the toll plaza at Thandikhui in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, providing significant relief to commuters traveling between Jammu, Samba, and Kathua.

In an official order, Y P S Jadon, NHAI Project Director, PIU, announced that the influence length of Lakhanpur and Ban fee plazas has been increased to eliminate the necessity of the Thandikhui fee plaza.

Effective from 8 am on January 26, toll collection at Thandikhui has ceased, and toll adjustments have been implemented at Ban and Lakhanpur toll plazas. This strategic decision by NHAI aims to address concerns related to the Thandikhui toll plaza and improve the overall travel experience for commuters between Jammu, Samba, and Kathua, as mentioned in the official order.
