The 14th National Voters’ Day (NVD) was joyously commemorated by the District Election Office at the Community Hall in Doda, reflecting a fervent dedication to instill a sense of responsibility among voters.

The festivities kicked off with a solemn pledge ceremony, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh. District officers, officials, and students united in taking the pledge, underscoring their commitment to actively participate in forthcoming elections. The overarching theme of NVD 2024, encapsulated in the slogan ‘Nothing Like Voting, I Vote For Sure,’ resonated throughout the event.

Simultaneously, the spirit of National Voters’ Day reverberated at the Institute of Industrial Training (ITI) Bhadarwah, where students from ITI and local youth engaged in enthusiastic celebrations.

ADC Dilmir Chowdhary addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the day and enlightening the youth about their voting rights. He urged them to recognize the power of their vote and assured that eligible voters would be duly enrolled in a timely manner. The celebration served as a platform to empower and inform the community about their civic duty and rights in the democratic process.
