
J-K: 26-Year-Old Man Dies by Suicide After Shooting Himself in Doda District
SRINAGAR: A 26-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself inside his house in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Sunday.
Ravinder Katoch used the licensed rifle of his father Joginder Kumar, a village defence guard, to end his life at village Humbal on Friday evening, a police official said.Deputy Superintendent of Police Ajay Anand said police have started inquest proceedings to ascertain the details of the incident.
The body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Doda for postmortem and was being handed over to his family for last rites, he said.
The officials said the motive behind his taking such an extreme step was not known immediately. (Kashmir Life)
