Investigation Ongoing After Reported Blast Near Israel Embassy in Delhi
Reports of a blast near the Israel Embassy in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri area surfaced, prompting an immediate response from authorities. Despite the call received by the Delhi Fire Services indicating an explosion around 6 pm, no evidence of such an incident was found on-site, confirmed Atul Garg, Director of Delhi Fire Services.
The Delhi Police’s Crime Unit and forensics team were swiftly deployed to the scene for investigation. However, sources from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) revealed that as of now, no conclusive evidence of an explosion has been discovered.
According to FSL sources, the search operation is ongoing. A security official stationed near the embassy reported hearing a loud noise resembling a tire burst around 5 pm, accompanied by the sight of smoke near a tree.
Contradicting the initial reports, sources within the special cell have indicated that no explosion took place in the area. Further details regarding the incident are still awaited as the investigation progresses.
